When to choose PETG for your part.

PETG sits in a sweet spot: it prints almost as easily as PLA but handles mechanical stress, water, chemicals and moderate heat far better. It's the most versatile filament in our lineup and, for ~60% of customer parts, it's what we recommend when someone asks "what should I print this in?".

Typical PETG applications we print for Gurgaon customers: water-tight enclosures for electronics projects, outdoor signage that needs to survive monsoon, mechanical brackets for industrial equipment, food-adjacent items like dispensers and containers, and medical-device housings. The material is also naturally slightly flexible, so snap fits and press fits work well.

PETG's main quirk is stringing — little hair-like strands between features if the printer isn't tuned. Our printers run tuned retraction profiles for each PETG brand we stock, so your finished part comes out clean without you having to think about it. If you want a rock-solid functional FDM part with a forgiving printing process, PETG is it.

Frequently asked questions

Pick PETG if your part will get wet, live outside, take mechanical load, or touch food. Pick PLA if it's purely for display or a cheap first prototype. PETG is slightly harder to print than PLA but the durability difference is enormous.
